The Owner

Vipul Patel is the owner of Blackrod House Care Home. With a background in business and management, Vipul took over the ownership of Blackrod House with a clear vision to provide a warm, safe and homely environment for residents.

Vipul’s main goal is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of care, dignity and respect at all times. He is committed to maintaining a comfortable “home from home” atmosphere where residents are supported according to their individual needs and families can have complete peace of mind about the care their loved ones receive.

The Manager

Kirstie was born in Salford, Manchester, and attended Hope High School. Since leaving school Kirstie attend North Trafford College, she went straight into Health and Social Care.

Kirstie began her career in care in 2009, starting in residential care. Completing her level 2 & 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care. Kirstie has experience with working in dementia care and intermediate care.

 Kirstie joined Blackrod House in 2021, bringing with her not only her experience, but also lots of fresh ideas and innovations which help to make life easier not only for the residents, but for the staff as well.

I have not got enough words to say how much we love Blackrod house. We were so lucky to stumble on this unique home my mum was in hospital with pneumonia and her memory was fading fast . Our dad was 91 and could not look after mum any more we tried for 2 years to support but the dreaded day came when we had to find mum a new home to be cared for . We went round a few homes and we visited Blackrod and we knew this was for us. We are so thrilled with the staff they are brilliant supportive reliable , likeable empathic and caring . They understand the needs of each person it’s not to big so everyone is looked after. They have loads of activities and really try to cater for everyone’s needs . It is life changing putting a parent in a home and guilt engulfs you but I can honestly say the whole team have been supportive to all my family and I can honestly say they have made a family and friends very happy.
